The above left picture is a 1980 Suzuki GS1000GL as it was received in our shop. The paint is all worn off the top of the tank and very rusty. The seat needs to be recovered. The carburetors are off the bike and in pieces. This will bike will need a lot of work to be back to its once muscle reputation.......The completion picture is posted at the right. This bike has undergone a complete overhaul including a new top end in the motor, new paint, new seat, custom exhaust, cables, tires, new mirrors, grips, handlebars, and much, much more. The bike is now what it once was or better. Very nice bike that runs as good as it looks.
Below is a 1983 Honda CB1000C as it was received in our shop. The motor
was blown and in pieces, the bike is missing the headlight, turn
signals, rear fender and tail light, cables, wiring, and much, much
more......The completion picture at the right shows the bike now that it is done and the owner has been riding it all summer. The bike still needs some side covers to be 100% complete, but it turned out pretty nice considering it had been sitting in a field for a few years. The CB1000 motor was not repairable so it was replaced with a CB900C motor and it was painted to match the original motor. All the chrome was taken off the 1000 and installed on the 900 to finish the original look. A chrome rear fender, tail light , and turn signals were added along with a pillion bar that was also missing. The bike runs great and the owner has not stopped burning up the streets since he got it.
